| I haven't posted for a while. I had 4 Christmasses. Then I went to Arizona on Dec 29 to see Angelina and stayed til January 5th or 6th.. one of those. It was a lot of fun. We went to Sea World and Coronado Island and I got the grand tour of Yuma. I got back and sat here doing nothing until I went back to school. I'm taking 18 hours this semester: NE 223- Reactor Heat Transfer NE 303- Reactor Physics I NE 319- Nuclear Power Plant Systems NE 327- Radiological Engineering NE 312- Nuclear Radation Measurement and Spectroscopy English 160- Technical Communication NE 312 has a lab, and NE 327 is on a really weird schedule because it was added late, so it'll be a fun semester. 303 will be tough, 312 will take some work because of the lab reports. 223 and 319 at with Dr Mueller so they shouldn't be terribly difficult. This past weekend was the KC round robin and Angelina came up to it. A 27 hour each way round trip over the weekend. She did well in the afternoon, it took her some time to get warmed up from not playing any real teams for 4 months and it's her first time as the main buzzer. She got 5th on my excellent test. I write the best tests. My lifting is slumping, my pec isn't really hurting, but I've lost a lot of strength over the last 2 months. It's gonna take a lot of work to catch up. | | |
| Semester number five is now over. My grades are as follows: NE 221- Reactor Fluid Mechanics: A NE 205- Fundamentals of Nuclear Engineering: A IDE 110- Mechanics of Materials: A Physics 307- Modern Physics II- Nuclear and Particle Physics: A Stat 215- Engineering Statistics: A 4.00 for the semester, now I'm at 3.963 cumulative.
The USAPL American Open was December 14. I weighed in at 237 in the 242 weight class. I lifted RAW in the Juniors (20-23) age category. My pec felt good through warm ups and squats.
Squats I did 402, 429, and 451 all for meet PR's. Bench I did 220 to get one in the books, 330 really easily, and had the spotters take 358 when I felt my pec start to stretch. Deadlift I did 402, 424, and missed 440.
I had a 1205 total. Not a bad day, I was really happy with squats.
I've had 2 Christmases so far. One at Carol's for Nuther Becky's family, one at Grandma Burchett's. Christmas at mom's tonight, then Christmas at Dad's tomorrow night. Then Monday I'm off to Arizona. Yay!

| Finals are coming up next week.
I've got my A in Fundamentals locked up, I need a 43 on my Fluids final to keep my A, I'll need something relatively low (70?) on my Engineering Stat final to keep my A. I'll have to get A's on my Mechanics of Materials and my Modern Physics II finals.
I'm about to take Mechanics of Materials test number 7. We'll see how it goes. 100 would make me happy.
My finals schedule sucks. Thursday 8-10 and 4-6. Friday from 8-10 and 1:30-3:30. Nothing inbetween. Gay.
USAPL American Open is Sunday. I'm hoping for a 451 squat and 440 deadlift. My bench could be anywhere with my messed up pec. We'll see how that goes.
I'm ready for Christmas. And I'm heading to Arizona on Dec 29. Yay!

| I guess it's my turn to update. School is going well. I'm on break all this week, then I've got 3 more weeks until the semester is over. I have a lame finals schedule, so I have to go all the way through Friday afternoon. Lame. The USAPL American Open is the weekend of the 12-14th, I lift on the 14th. My pec is hurt and I haven't been able to bench much in 3 weeks, so I will probably suck. Right now I'm feeling a 200kg-ish Dead and Squat, and hopefully I can still bench in the 160kg range. A 1200lb total would make me really happy, we'll see if I can get there. Not much else interesting going on. | | |
| Haven't updated for a while.
I've had a few tests recently. I've got low A's on both my Fluids tests, and low B, a low A and a 100 on my Mechanics of Materials tests. A 104 and an 85 on my Fundamentals tests. Some sort of A on my Stat tests. And my most suprising, the 93 on my Modern Physics II test. That was the one I was most scared of.
The Gateway Round Robin was last weekend. Isaac didn't do too terribly hot in the rounds, but he got a 146 out of 150 on his test so I was happy.
In lifting news, I just missed my 400 attempt on bench. Now I'm starting my cycle back over for the USAPL American Open in December. I'm hoping this time I can finally hit my 451-374-451 RAW. I think I'll stick with the 242s this time.
In non-school, lifting, or Bible Bowl related news. Well, I suppose it's somewhat Bible Bowl related. Angelina and I have been together for over 3 months now. The distance sucks, but it's worth it. I'm happy.
The End.
